Sentry Data Systems’ revolutionary patient data intelligence platform identifies significant revenue opportunity for Maury Regional Medical Center
Sentry Data Systems announced recently that Maury Regional Medical Center, a 255-bed, not-for-profit hospital based in Columbia, Tennessee, has expanded its seven-year relationship with Sentry to implement its Patient Data Intelligence Platform (PDIP) to help improve quality of care and manage spiraling healthcare costs.
Travis Leonardi, CEO at Sentry Data Systems commented, “Sentry’s Patient Data Intelligence Platform provides a clear window of real-time, actionable opportunities that consistently and rapidly yield quantifiable results. In fact, we identified more than $1M in combined drug cost savings and revenue improvement opportunities for Maury that they began executing on in less than 90 days.”
Maury chose Sentry’s analytics platform because of its revolutionary approach to running real-world data to create real-world, evidence-based analytics, to deliver actionable insights into a hospital’s clinical, operational and financial processes. According to Jeff Binkley, Maury’s Director of Pharmacy, “We’ve been impressed with Sentry’s ability to successfully manage our 340B program and now are excited to utilize their analytics platform to further our pursuit of clinical excellence while achieving a solid return on our investment. Their comprehensive, real-time patient data set will provide the transparency we need to gain insights from our pharmacy costs, charges and reimbursements so we can take costs out of the system and improve quality of care.
“Prior to Sentry’s analytics platform, gathering all the necessary data elements into a single data repository was very challenging. Now the data is readily available, allowing us to maximize our margins,” explained Binkley. “We’re very impressed with the amount of revenue we were able to capture. We immediately updated our charge master, and these savings went straight to the bottom line.
“Sentry’s longstanding reputation for data integrity and proven analytics gave me the confidence to stand behind our findings and implement changes immediately,” stated Binkley. “We plan to leverage Sentry’s solution as broadly as possible to lower costs, capture additional revenue, manage utilization and improve quality throughout our organization.”
