Again this year, Sentry is proud to be included as a Partner of National Health IT Week, October 2-6, in the advancement of information technology to help improve healthcare.
Initiated in 2006 by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), National Health IT Week has emerged as a landmark occasion for healthcare stakeholders across the country, using health IT as part of the overall solution to improve America’s healthcare as a bipartisan, federally led, market-driven initiative.
Comprehensive health care reform is not possible without system-wide adoption of health IT, which improves the quality of healthcare delivery, increases patient safety, decreases medical errors, and strengthens the interaction between patients and healthcare providers.
In recognition of this year’s National Health IT Week theme, You know the value – now show the world!, Sentry will hold an employee celebration on October 5th from 3pm – 4pm at its corporate headquarters.
“Our annual participation in National Health IT Week reinforces our commitment to ensuring health IT is integrated, interactive, inter-operable, and intelligent in order to provide the highest quality of care,” said Lidia Rodriguez-Hupp, Senior Vice President, Chief of Corporate Initiatives & 340B Compliance Officer. “Together, all of this leads to better outcomes for patients and our healthcare system as a whole.”
