Regional Vice President, Sales

Position summary

This individual will present and sell the company’s technology products and services to prospective customers, as a key part of the company’s business strategy.

Position description

  • Promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers
  • Generate leads and develop new sales within a region
  • Maintain sales activity to continue filling the forecast pipeline
  • Close sales in accordance with assigned quotas
  • Facilitate the entire sales process from lead generation to deal close
  • Attend trade shows as requested
  • Coordinate the utilization of solution product executives in support of the sales process
  • Ability to formulate sales strategy and utilize company materials to present a “Why do something, Why Now, Why Sentry Data Systems” message to prospective customers
  • Utilize to manage and document the sales process for opportunity generation and each identified sales opportunity
  • Facilitate and perform financial analysis and ROI calculations on the utilization of Sentry applications
  • Manage the contracting process and negotiate the Sentry Technology Services Agreements
  • Interact with the sales development staff for your assigned territory to target and grow a robust sales pipeline
  • Maintain and keep Outlook calendar up-to-date
  • Ability to respond to requests from sales operations, legal, and finance in a timely fashion
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by sales leadership

Qualifications / requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with hospital leadership and pharmacy programs
  • Experience in a sales or corporate management experience and understanding of the hospital operational and financial environment
  • Experience in managing the sales process with both c-suite and departmental level staff in the hospital setting
  • History of success in a team selling environment utilizing subject matter experts
  • Expert knowledge of analytics and 340B and/or ability to learn these industries
  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow purchasing analytics, hospital business and finance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including familiarity with PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision, self-starter and motivated
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline to consistently met quota objectives
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
  • This position requires up to 40% travel, outside the local area and overnight
