Program Delivery Manager

Position summary

The Program Delivery Manager focuses on keeping clients satisfied with the company’s services through effectively managing programs, tracking service metrics, and helping to lead the professionals responsible for completing and delivering projects. The Program Delivery Manager is adept at delivering complex programs, proactively using their experience and expertise for strategic planning, and process improvement.

Defining program needs and feeding these into the program and portfolio process will enable resources to be properly allocated, and create a positive customer experience.  The Program Delivery Manager will be core to decisions that build high performing teams, where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.

Position description

  • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects, managing programs as needed
  • Provide coaching and mentorship in a variety of forums to the program/project teams
  • Provide insight into strategic planning, objectives, custom initiatives, process improvement, and project methodology
  • Matrix-manage a multidisciplinary team to produce results, as well as direct management of an assigned team of program managers
  • Serve as escalation point for implementation concerns
  • Travel to client and business partner sites to foster relationships and mitigate concerns as needed; engage additional resources as necessary to ensure a positive client experience
  • Play key role in budgeting, staffing decisions, compensation, bonuses, resource allocation and resource planning
  • Engage in contract development and management process ensuring contracts maximize client benefits and meet all parties’ needs; assist with driving contracts to successful and expedited closure
  • Manage vendor relationships as needed to ensure service delivery meets organizational standards
  • Support and implement best practices
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support company or department objectives

Qualifications / requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related experience
  • Industry recognized project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, ITIL, CompTIA Project+, PMP) a plus
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex projects through the entire project lifecycle
  • 2+ years management/supervisory experience
  • 4+ years of experience implementing products or services in a healthcare related industry including a minimum of 2 years implementing Sentry specific product solutions
  • Experience working with CRM platforms
  • Understanding of Agile and SCRUM concepts, as well as related software and tools a plus
  • Experience working with executive level stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of IT industry standards and practices related to healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of hospital/pharmacy workflows, prescribing practices and revenue cycle management within a health care organization
  • Familiarity with various HIS systems such as EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Sorian, etc.

  • This position will manage employees of their department and responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees
  • This position requires up to 25% travel outside the local area and overnight
