Manager, Product Management Operations

Position summary

The Operations Manager for Product Management (PM) is responsible for the overall quality of Sentry’s services and operations provided by the PM team. In this role, the Manager will collaborate with the Product Management department leader, to help define, facilitate and enforce standardized processes, document and train staff on internal procedures and help ensure clear communication among departments about product-related initiatives. Must be able to think critically about the products and services Sentry provides and should constantly be inventing new ways to deliver quality to Sentry’s clients.

Position description

  • Collaborate with the department leader on product/feature/defect resolution roll outs
  • Manage documentation in Confluence – help the product managers, and ensure consistency within the product manager spaces, structure and feature releases
  • Help with launch process and Standard Response Guides
  • Liaison between the product managers, Sentry, and clients
  • Assistance with writing product and department content
  • Write draft communications internal and external for the department leader review and release
  • Assistance with Salesforce case tracking and facilitating, may include client communication
  • Assistance with product idea (PI) queue review, summary and tracking, may include client communication
  • Assistance with roadmap tracking
  • Research project history as necessary and summarize salient points to provide background for responses to inquiries from clients or management
  • Assist with coordination and planning of departmental functions and meetings
  • Able to provide status updates to leadership, including C-Suite executives
  • Maintain a high level of product/process knowledge
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments and external clients to facilitate open dialog and cooperation

 Qualifications / requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related experience
  • 2+ years management/supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of experience implementing products or services in a healthcare-related industry
  • Solid understanding of Sentry systems and processes
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to analyze and resolve process disparities
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, strong initiative, ability to work independently and without direct supervision, desire to improve the status quo
  • Adaptable, high-stress tolerance, capable of managing multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks without a significant loss of productivity or motivation
