Manager, Implementation Specialists

Position summary

The Manager, Implementation Specialists is responsible for the management of implementation specialists that install our solutions. Responsible for providing consultation and assistance regarding implementation processes.  This position acts as a resource for other departments within Sentry as well as for the client to develop sustainable implementation processes and solutions which support the client’s requirements.

Primary responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project operating costs, request budget allocation and reallocations and ensure projects are within budget
  • Work with director of implementation and technical services on monitoring, reporting and project utilization, and billing and revenue within services organization on weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Incorporate industry best practices, conduct internal and external benchmarking, and establish standards, key measures and metrics
  • Participate in opportunity to reduce implementation timeline and improve quality
  • Allocate implementation resources to new projects within assigned area of responsibility
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, termination and disciplinary action as well as recognition and reward
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to ensure clear communication on project status and prioritization
  • Actively review and assess existing policies and procedures and suggest methods to improve efficiency and/or quality
  • As necessary, escalate concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Maintains skills-based matrix for implementation specialist resources
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support company or department objectives

Qualification / requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience managing complex projects through the entire project lifecycle
  • 2+ years management/supervisory experience
  • 4+ years experience implementing products or services in a healthcare-related industry
  • Strong knowledge of 340B regulations
  • Strong knowledge of IT industry standards and practices related to healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of hospital/pharmacy workflows, prescribing practices and revenue cycle management within a health care organization
  • Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid billing practices
  • Familiarity with various HIS systems such as EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Sorian, etc.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
