Account Executive, Sales

Position summary:

This individual will present and sell the company’s 340B pharmacy technology products and services to prospective customers, as a key part of the company’s business strategy.

Position description:

  • Promotes the company’s product and services to existing and prospective customers
  • Generates leads and develop new sales within a region
  • Maintains sales activity to continue filling the forecast pipeline
  • Closes sales in accordance with assigned quotas
  • Facilitates the entire sales process from lead generation to deal close
  • Attends trade shows as requested
  • Coordinates the utilization of Solution Product Executives in support of the sales process
  • Ability to formulate sales strategy and utilize company materials to present a “Why do something” – “Why Now” – “Why Sentry Data Systems” message to prospective customers
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage and document the sales process for opportunity generation and each identified sales opportunity
  • Facilitate and perform financial analysis and ROI calculations on the utilization of Sentry applications
  • Manage the contracting process and negotiate the Sentry Technology Services Agreements
  • Interact with the business development staff for your assigned territory to target and grow a robust sales pipeline
  • Maintains and keeps Outlook calendar up-to-date
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification / requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with hospital leadership and pharmacy programs
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, nursing
  • Experience in a sales or corporate management experience and in addition understands the hospital operational and financial environment
  • Experience in managing the sales process with both c-suite and departmental level staff in the hospital setting
  • History of success in a team selling environment utilizing subject matter experts
  • Knowledgeable of 340B and/or ability to learn 340B Industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy workflow purchasing analytics, hospital business and finance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including familiarity with PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline to consistently meet quota objectives
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel outside the local area and overnight
