Technical Engagement Executive

Position summary:

The Technical Engagement Executive is responsible for performing the analysis and documentation of unique client requests which do not directly translate to standard application functionality. In this role, the TEE will support the department by ensuring that requirements are well understood, clearly documented and communicated to the key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with both technical and non-technical staff and client hospitals on projects.

Position description:

  • Investigates and problem solves issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of patient data for supporting account management teams
  • Evaluate business processes, conduct research to help determine root causes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions which improve Sentry DS customers quality and/or profitability
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources
  • In collaboration with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Execute on functional and analytic assessment and project requirements:
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative interviews
    • Perform departmental shadowing and observations
    • Perform process and data analysis
  • Provide guidance for establishing process, staffing, and system improvements
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies
  • Create and maintain consulting and analytic standards, considerations, methodologies, and controls
  • Participation in development of proactive/automated monitoring tools to ensure continued client program success and establish ability for Sentry DS to recognize and identify data issues prior to negative client impact
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process, product, and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
  • Leverage existing knowledge to recommend value add technical improvements within and external to Sentry DS applications
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share concepts, possible designs and findings based on in-depth data analysis
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports and data configuration
  • Work diligently with Sentry DS customers, third-party vendors, Product Management, TCS/PSS and Executive staff
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to Account Management team members
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  • Perform user acceptance testing
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements all while managing competing resources and priorities
  • Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of assigned projects
  • Consult with Sentry DS Product Management tools and function as an SME on ready to market functions, tools, applications
  • In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings.
  • Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
  • Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports

Qualification / requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in business, economics, accounting, information management, healthcare information, computing, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent combination of related experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in a data analytical role
  • Healthcare background or experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to understand and generate complex process flows for assigned projects
  • SQL Experience is required
  • Possess strong Excel skills
  • Aptitude for rapidly acquiring process improvement and subject matter expertise
  • Basic understanding of healthcare supply chain, clinical operations and revenue cycle preferred
  • Fast learner, able to understand new products/features and business objectives swiftly
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public
  • Adept at building productive cross-departmental relationships
  • Ability to work with minimal daily supervision
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives

  • This position requires up to 25% travel, outside the local area and overnight
