Solution Engagement Executive – Analytics

Position summary:

The Solution Engagement Executive (SEE) – Analytics will be responsible for assisting the sales department and will work with and help to educate the sales department and potential customers regarding our company-specific solutions and industry trends. In this position, the SEE will oversee the implementation hand-off and transition process from sales to implementation to ensure delivery success and to mitigate risk. The SEE will be proficient in utilizing the Sentry implementation tools and methodology, to structure the right solution to successfully address the complexity of a particular project. The SEE provides oversight on key projects to ensure quality implementation.

Position description:

  • Serve as an integral part of the sales team, acting as the solution expert for financial performance management and the Sentry Healthcare Data Model
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products within our customer base
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell services in existing customer base
  • Provide sales support for WebEx and onsite meetings to demonstrate Sentry’s analytics products and services
  • Understand customer needs and collaborate with sales and account management to offer solutions that improve workflow and the health system revenue cycle performance of the company’s clients
  • Maintain up to date domain and industry knowledge regarding C-suite objectives and needs
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to support sales and prospect needs
  • Knowledgeable and up-to-date of issues within the industry, changing regulation and evolving technology
  • Domain expert for sales department in communicating implementation methodology
  • Develop trusted client relationships and establish strong credibility in educating prospects/customers
  • Clearly articulate and manage customer perception of Sentry’s solutions during the sales cycle
  • Contribute to the services and delivery component of RFI/RFPs, ensuring timely response
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of related experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of hospital finance and operations, specifically an understanding of hospital pharmacy, supply chain, revenue cycle, cost accounting and finance functions
  • Strong knowledge of health care/hospital environment
  • Knowledge of 340B program desirable
  • Knowledge of healthcare data analytics
  • Executive level presence and experience in facilitation
  • Collaborative and consultative work style
  • Process/performance improvement experiences, including technology implementation and utilization, as well as effective communication of complex concepts to hospital departmental and executive leadership
  • 10+ years of experience delivering consulting services, systems implementation and healthcare related management experience
  • Experience selling to hospitals and health systems—pharmaceuticals, medical device and/or consulting services experience
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, opportunities, trends, or exceptions to drive financial and clinical quality improvement
  • Experience with large-scale healthcare systems such as Epic, Allscripts, Nextgen, Meditech, Cerner, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Possess strong negotiation and deal management skills
  • High level of computer proficiency required
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analysis, and resolution at strategic and functional levels
  • Understand Sentry Data System’s operations and business processes

  • Ability to deliver customer and prospect presentations to an executive level audience in a concise, inspirational and convincing manner
  • This position requires the ability and availability to travel for job-related activities as necessary; outside the local area and overnight between 1-3 nights per week
