Sentry Data Systems successfully implements 340B for 13 Prime Healthcare hospitals simultaneously
Sentry Data Systems, Inc., a leader in 340B compliance and advanced healthcare analytics solutions, recently completed a rapid implementation of its Sentinel and Sentrex products in multiple Prime Healthcare locations, resulting in significant 340B savings. Prime Healthcare owns and operates 45 acute care hospitals in 14 states. Prime Healthcare and its hospitals have been recognized among the “100 Top Hospitals” in the nation 42 times and among the “15 Top Health Systems” three times.
Thirteen of Prime Healthcare’s 45 hospitals participate in the 340B Drug Pricing program. Prime sought out a partner who could help execute its vision within an aggressive timeframe, and Prime recognized that it could achieve significant efficiencies by having all facilities integrated into one comprehensive 340B solution.
“Sentry is uniquely positioned to meet aggressive timelines. We worked closely with Prime Healthcare to get them up and running in a few short months,” says Travis Leonardi, CEO at Sentry Data Systems. “Prime’s decision to use our solutions and our highly qualified team of experts is a testament to our long-standing reputation of achieving compliance, speed to value and savings success.”
“We were determined to develop a focused plan and robust solution to capture 340B savings,” says Kenosha Chastang, Corporate Director of 340B at Prime Healthcare. “Now, with Sentry’s tools and guidance, leadership has more fully realized the opportunity for additional program benefits and is very pleased with the results we’ve accomplished in an aggressive time period.”
Prime Healthcare plans to use the majority of its 340B savings to ensure that prescriptions are affordable for its most vulnerable populations. “Often, there is a cycle of care where patients leave and can’t afford to fill their prescriptions, so they end up coming back and needing care again, which is not efficient for patients, and for hospitals that can get penalized for readmissions,” says Chastang. “Sentry’s 340B solutions help us positively impact our patients’ lives and the communities we support.”
