Sentry Data Systems names Timothy Lantz as Senior Vice President and General Manager
Sentry Data Systems, Inc., a leader in 340B compliance and advanced healthcare analytics solutions, recently announced the promotion of Timothy Lantz to SVP and General Manager. Lantz’s responsibilities have expanded to include the following teams at Sentry: Technology Platform and Services, Product Management, Software Development, Product Implementation, Professional Services, Information Management and Operations, as well as Sentry’s Analytics division.
Mr. Lantz is an experienced executive, serving more than two decades in financial and operational consulting and leadership roles. Prior to joining Sentry in 2014, Lantz designed and implemented financial and operations solutions for large hospitals and healthcare systems, and led major research and performance improvement projects focused on supplier diversity, margin performance and contracting at Healthcare Business Insights, his own consulting firm (Pantheon Business Council) and Huron Consulting.
According to Travis Leonardi, CEO of Sentry Data Systems, “Tim has consistently proven his value to our clients and the broader industry through his command of the healthcare and technology industries, coupled with his bold, transformative leadership style, and is a well-respected executive and team player at Sentry. I’m confident he’ll further galvanize his teams to significantly impact the overall functionality, quality, growth and sustainability of our solutions.”
Lantz commented, “It continues to be an exciting time in the evolution of our healthcare system and I believe that Sentry is at the forefront of that change. Pharmacy costs are rising, treatment protocols are becoming increasingly complex, and the entire industry is under tremendous pressure to improve quality and reduce the cost of care. All of this is happening in an environment of shrinking revenue and intense, constantly changing regulation. Sentry is an amazing company built on a spirit of entrepreneurship and perseverance. We have a dedicated, hard-working team and I am very excited and honored to work with them as we develop new and innovative solutions to help move healthcare forward.”
Tim currently serves on the IPMI Healthcare Finance Institute Advisory Committee, presents nationally on a variety of data analytics topics, and is a published contributor and speaker for organizations like HFMA, HIMSS, Becker’s Hospital Review, and AHIMA. A National Merit Scholar, Tim holds a degree in finance and real estate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
