Senior Financial Analyst

Position summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data, forecasts and reports. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.

Position description:

  • Analyzes data and summarizes various performance metrics using statistical analysis
  • Uses advanced analytics to gain insight to key business drivers and operational effectiveness
  • Performs analysis to assess quality and associated cost factors
  • Updates monthly revenue forecast by type by month based most recent monthly actual revenue information
  • Prepares dashboards for management reporting
  • Performs Ad Hoc reporting/analysis as required
  • Provide administrative support to Intacct – set-up and report writing
  • Assist in integration of SalesForce data into sales reporting models
  • Builds and maintains staffing models for customer contact departments to support budgeting/forecasting and monthly results reporting
  • Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results
  • Improves financial status by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends and recommending actions
  • Increases productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications and coordinating information requirements
  • Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports and making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications / requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance, accounting preferred
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Advanced financial modeling skills
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting / financial analysis
  • Experience with Intacct financial software and Salesforce.com software a plus
  • Experience with Budget Maestro and Microsoft BI a plus
  • Excellent oral / written communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Accomplish follow-through and prioritize workloads
  • Flexibility to schedule changes and the ability to adjust to rapidly changing conditions
