Manager, 340B Compliance & Audit

Position summary

The Manager, 340B Compliance & Audit will support all clients involved in internal and/or HRSA/OPA audits. Support may include onsite assistance and ongoing customer service for Sentry clients. This hands-on position will serve as liaison between Sentry’s home office in Florida and the network of CEs to ensure that the program is running efficiently, effectively and in compliance with the requirements of the program.

Position description

  • Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls or non-compliance with 340B regulations, and policies and procedures
  • Report to management about audit results and recommend changes in operations
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings
  • Observing, receiving and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
  • Using relevant information to determine whether events or processes comply with 340B regulations or standards
  • Providing information to supervisors and/or co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in-person
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Teaching others how to use Sentry software to maximize the 340B program
  • Work closely with CE’s internal project leader to ensure an on-time and successful audit results
  • Assist in managing each CE’s timeline and audit specific tasks
  • Work with CE and internal departments on communication and audit plans
  • Proficiency in DataNext technology in order to troubleshoot questions or problems at CE sites
  • Provide support to contract pharmacies for Sentrex product
  • Work closely with Sentry internal departments to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information
  • Back-up to production support specialists when time permits
  • Reach out to all Medicaid state offices on a quarterly basis
  • Support the IMP and S1 teams with Medicaid/carve out questions
  • QA new client carve out implementations
  • Support new and existing clients Medicaid/carve out questions
  • Perform randomized audits of current clients’ claims report to verify all Medicaid is being carved out
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related experience
  • Experience with customer service and account management, preferably in the healthcare field
  • Good oral and written communications, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). PC, printers, computerized voice and e-mail systems
  • Understanding of Sentry’s operations and business processes
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health-related area or must possess transferable skills
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare/hospital environment and 340B Program
  • Design and plan training seminars for DSH/FQHC entities
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, including demonstrable experience in workflow management systems and/or service delivery
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding and unstructured environment
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels
  • Proven customer service orientation with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Functional understanding of online technology
  • Ability and availability to travel for job-related activities as necessary
  • Effectively use reports and other analytical tools to help the SVP target efforts for maximum program results
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically with pharmacy and DSH/FQHC/CAH staff as well as with Sentry personnel
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor in order to prioritize workload and determine priorities subject to changes in schedules
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives
  • This position requires up to 30% travel outside the local area and overnight
